THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS NOT.........
The fear of the Lord is not natural fear! Natural fear is being afraid of falling on ice or climbing to a high roof,or
learning drive an automobile. These are natural fears that make us cautious and protect us from bodily harm. Many times Satan
will pervert these fears into a 'phobia', which then become terrifying to us.
The fear of the Lord is not demonic fear!
Demonic
fear is tormenting and it is destructive. It will bombard your mind with ideas of failure. You will see only your inability
to cope with situations. If you do not lift your eyes off the situation and look to God as the source of your strength, you
will fail.
Jesus said men's hearts would fail them for fear of things coming up on the earth. (Lk21:26) He was not
only talking about the natural heart but also the spiritual heart of man. When you are controled by fear, you can not walk
in the spirit. When you operate in the realm of the Spirit, however, God will make you fearless! (Ps.27:1,3) The Lord is my
light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The lord is the strength of my life,of whom shall I be afraid? ..... although many
shall come against me, my heart shall not fear. Knowing God's love for you , will produce confidence which will drive out
all tormenting fears.
THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS NOT.....
The fear of the Lord is not religious fear! Religious
fear has taught people to be afraid of God! There are many people walking around today who are terrified of God. They think
God may take their business, or house, or a family member or even their own life if they don't act just right. This is a fear
of the unknown! They do not truly know the nature of God, for He is a loving Father. Religion has many false ideas about God.
Satan is a master at deceiving man about God's character! God wants a close, very personal relationship with us. He wants
us to know Him and sense His presence with us at all times, understanding He loves us deeply. You can not have a close relationship
with someone you think will turn on you any moment and do you harm. Religion teaches people 'how' to act godly with all kinds
of outward appearances, but keeps us from ever truly responding to God from our heart.
THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS
NOT.....
The fear of the Lord is not the fear of man! The WORD teaches us that the 'fear of man is a trap and a snare'.
We do not have to be intimidated by people! When you are afraid of people it becomes extremely hard to be obedient to GOD.
When your life is controlled by the thoughts and opinions of other people, you can not help but hesitate and question when
GOD speaks to you about something He desires you to do. The fear of man is being more conscious of man's desires than of GOD's
desires for you. The fear of man is being more concerned with the reactions of people towards you than of God's reactions
towards you. Fear of the rejection of man will keep you out of all God has planned for your life. It will rob you of God's
best He has in mind for you! Fear of man will cause you to act according to what others 'expect' of you, rather than what
you know God has spoken to you!
THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS....
The fear of the Lord is TO HATE EVIL! (Proverbs8:13)
The
fear of the LORD in us is hating the things GOD HATES!
GOD HATES ALL EVIL!THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS .....
Proverbs
8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil.
Hatred of evil should be the response deep within the person who is walking
with God daily and seeking to please Him in all things. Why are we to hate evil? For the same reason God hates evil! Evil
is a destructive force towards all humanity. Evil is so unclearly defined by the body of Christ today, that to many of us,
it is "confusion." It appears to me that much of the world's ways has entered the church and corruption is open and boldly
expressed. However, once you understand what evil is you will also understand why it is to be hated! Evil is explained this
way: adversity,affliction,misery,sorrow,and moral corruption. God does not want this evil in people's lives. These are the
things God hates! The dictionary supports this definition of evil, describing it this way:wicked;causing injury,damage,or
any kind of undesirable result; that which causes suffering,misfortune,or disaster, morally corrupt (bad). God never intended
for us to live in misery and affliction. He is opp!
osed to calamity and adversity that comes into our life! Satan corrupted
God's plan for life and peace in the Garden of Eden thru Adam and Eve thru his deception and lies!
(Do you realize
the first act Satan did was to tell a LIE!)
Evil is the corruption of anything God has established for good!
Corruption
of health and wholeness in our bodies brings undesirable results and suffering. Corruption in your mind causes us to think
opposite of what God thinks. Corruption of mind causes us to think and speak opposite of what God says about us. Corruption
of mind causes us to think stress and strife and desires of the flesh. God thinks peace. God thinks love. God thinks give.
Corruption thinks retain and hold with greed in the heart. Corruption is Satan's work in the world and in YOU! God hates corruption!
We should hate corruption too! The world is full of corruption. But we are not to act like we are still in the world, we are
to be free of the corruption of the world! Having been set free from this corruption of Satan! This the 'GOOD NEWS' of Jesus
Christ and all He did for us!
Look at (II Peter 1: 2 -11)
I like the way the "Living Bible" says it! "Do you want
more and more of God's kindness and peace? Then learn to know Him better! For as you know Him better, He will give you, through
His great power, everything you need to live a good life: He even shares His own glory and his own goodness with us! And by
that same mighty power, he has us all other rich and wonderful blessings he promised; for instance, the promise to save us
from the lust and rotteness all around us, and to give us his own character. But, to obtain these gifts, you need MORE THAN
FAITH, you must also work at it, for even that is not enough! You must learn to know God better and discover what he wants
you to do. Next, learn to put aside your own desires and let God have His way with you. This will make possible the next step:
which is to enjoy other people and learn to like them and eventually love them with an agape kind of love. The more you go
on this way, the more you will grow spiritually and become fr!
uitful and useful to our Lord Jesus Christ! But anyone who
fails to go after these additions to his faith is blind for sure or at best short sighted! They have forgotten that God delivered
them from the corruption of sin SO THAT now they can live a strong, good life for the LORD! So get busy and work hard to prove
that you really are among those God has called and chosen, and then you will never stumble and fall away to the corruption
of the old
life!
THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS TO HATE CORUPTION!
Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to
hate evil. Evil is corruption, the destructive forces of Satan let lose in this world to destroy all things of God and His
goodness. The corruption that is in this world reaches into every corner of life, from the highest level of our society to
the lowest. Evil knows no boundaries nor is it void of deploying any means possible to acquire it's purpose of destruction
and death. Not only is it found in dark and depraved minds, but it tries to touch and grab hold of every person even in the
highest of positions in our society. The Good News is God's WORD to us, that we do not have to live IN CORRUPTION! II Peter1:4
says this to us: my paraphrase; "thru Jesus Christ, we have been given exceedingly great promises that because we are now
in Him we have the divine nature of Jesus living in us to enable us to live above the corruption in this world!" Jesus Christ
on the inside is all we need to stop living like the world! It is in us! The pow!
er of Christ is in us! He delivered us
out of the corruption of this world. God has established the fact that we can draw from His power and provisions to meet our
every need. WE can get whatever we need to escape the corruption and wickedness of Satan's plots against YOU as a child of
God. We have been given the nature of God, He is alive in us. God's nature, His character is to hate evil, wickedness, and
all corruption that came into this world thru the temptations of Satan which brought sin and death to man. God made a way
for us to be delivered out of the corruption that Satan brought in.....Jesus is that way! The SPIRIT OF GOD is as destructive
towards evil as He is creative towards good!
God's nature hates evil! Satan and all the forces of darkness can not stay
in the presence of a Holy God! God, by His very nature, repels corruption! You have within you that same ability to repel
all corruption in your life and circumstances! Children of God, Sisters in Christ, GET HOLD OF THIS WORD! God hates corruption
and so should we! The very nature of Jesus Christ living in you will create a burning desire within to see others set free
from the corruption of this world! It will give you a burning desire to see your sisters set free from corruption in their
own lives and become vessels of His WORD to set others free also!
God is building an Army of Women to carry this message
to the world!
JESUS CHRIST HAS SET US FREE FROM ALL THE CORRUPTION OF THIS WORLD! HE HAS PICKED US UP! CLEANED US UP!
SET OUR FEET ON SOLID GROUND! SET US FREE TO BE HIS VESSELS! WE BELONG TO JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE DAUGHTERS OF THE KING OF KINGS!
WE DO NOT BELONG TO THIS WORLD! WE ARE HIS AND WE NEED TO GET MAD AT THE CORRUPTION ALL AROUND US! IT IS OUR TIME! WE ARE
WOMEN UNLIMITED IN CHRIST! NOW IT IS UP TO US TO GO OUT AND SET EVERY WOMAN FREE WITH THE WORD THAT SET US FREE! IT IS TIME
TO HATE CORRUPTION AS OUR FATHER HATES CORRUPTION! IT IS TIME TO HAVE THE FEAR OF THE LORD IN US!!
Proverbs 8:13 The
fear of the Lord is to hate evil
The natural man loves evil.For each person to truly hate evil, God's nature must
be inside him. Jesus said in John 3:19 Men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. The majority of
people today focus most all their conversations on disaster,misery,calamity,fear of the future and the hardships they are
facing, both in a personal sense and in the world in general.Most of the time people talk about how bad things are and how
much worse they will get. But the deep desire of all,is to be free from this captivity of darkness. Most people simply just
do not know "how". Through our example and testimony of the goodness of God, we can turn the "key" to unlock this prison door
and let the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ flood into their lives. The fear of the Lord is to take sides with God's attitude
toward the sin and corruption that Satan has brought into this world.
YOU are not to be afraid of God! YOU are to discover
His attitudes and desires. Having a deep respect for someone will cause you to look at the qualities he has shown which demand
your respect.Those qualities will influence you. As you draw near to God thru His Word and fellowship, you will find yourself
overwhelmed with His love and goodness,His very nature. His awesome love, His wisdom, and His willingness to be a part fo
your life will bring you to a place of wanting to totally obey Him and submit to His will and desires in all things.
Ps.33:8
says "Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the people of the world stand in awe of Him." To truly walk and live in the
fear of the Lord requires two (2) main ingredients:
First: you must seek the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead you
into God's WORD. When you get into weakness, God wants to strengthen you with His Word. The Holy Spirit is our teacher who
will bring to mind the "word" you need in times of weakness to strengthen you. YOU must get in the Word and allow the HOLY
SPIRIT to work in your life thru the WORD.
Second: You must be willing to allow the Spirit of God within you to change
your thinking, attitudes, and desires and cause them to line up with the thoughts, attitudes and desires of God. When you
are willing to do this,the nature of God will begin to develope in you. YOU will begin to hate all evil, corruption and destruction
around you. Hatred for the destruction of evil that Satan has brought into this world will become one of the key factors in
your life.
God's heart of compassion will manifest in you and you will hate all evil. Ps 121 says "His heart shall
be established, he shall not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies." "Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
that delights greatly in His commands" The fear of God and the delight of His WORD go hand in hand. It says: his children
are full of the might of God,wealth and riches are in his house,he is full of God's grace and compassion; and he will NEVER
be moved off the path of God's blessings. Satan CAN NOT strike fear in his heart with threats of evil, because his heart is
fixed and established. He is IMMMOVABLE!!
HE HATES EVIL AS GOD HATES EVIL! HE BECOMES SATAN'S WORST NITEMARE!
HE
WILL NOT BE MOVED BY FEAR OR EVIL, HE HAS THE FEAR OF THE LORD IN HIM!
