A "seed" is the embryo (beginning stage), having the
general form and likeness of the mature plant from which it was taken, containing ALL the necessary ingredients within itself
to reproduce after it's own kind, becoming exactly the same as the mature (mother) plant from which it came.

Understanding this process and spiritual law of planting and harvest requires us to spend some time in meditating(quiet
thinking and pondering in depth) in the Word of God. All thru out the WORD, God has chosen to use this example to give understanding
of this spiritual law, but we hear it so often that we tend to let the depth of the lesson slip by us.
In this message,
I hope to ignite a little spark of fire in you that will encourage you to take this spiritual law and spend time and effort
in gaining great insight and understanding of the enormity of this law of sowing and reaping and it's application to your
own life. If you do this, you will soon gain a greater understanding of some of the difficulties you may be struggling with
that is the harvest of seeds planted in your past, which took root in you and now produce a crop of undesirable fruits.
There
is great need for understanding and insight of this spiritual law of planting and harvest which was put into effect by God,
because Satan also understands this law and uses it to produce crops of dispair, hopelessness, doubt,disbelief, anger, bitterness,
hatred, envy, etc. Satan knows that this spiritual law can be used for his purposes and he seeks to plant his seeds into our
life as well. He is cunning and subtle and we are warned to be on the alert at all times.
So with this introduction
and simple explanation of the importance of this spiritual law of sowing and reaping, let's expose some of the seeds Satan
will work to plant in your life.
God has planted the Word (seed) into your heart, and you should expect only the
fruit of the Spirit to produce in your life. However, Satan also works to plant 'seeds' of corruption into your heart because
he knows it will produce a harvest of corruption and destruction in your life if it takes root. We are instructed to pluck
out these weeds and to keep our spiritual garden weed free ,so that our gardens may produce fruit for the kingdom of God.
SATAN'S SEEDS
Each time you allow something of the devil into our life , his seeds of corruption will
eventually take root and produce a tree of fruit that will tower so large it will block out the light of God's love and truth
from growing in your heart. I encourage you to become a "fruit inspector" and begin to look at the fruit you are producing.
Understanding that the fruit is coming from seeds already planted and fertilized. You also need to look at the 'seeds' you
are allowing to be planted into both your mind and your heart in your present daily life. Check out your activities, attitudes,
ways of entertainment, relationships and what you listen to, and ask yourself if it glorifies the Lord in your life?
Satan
plants his seeds of corruption by working on the fertile soil of your mind. He will plant a thought or an imagination and
begin to "fertilize" it with what other people are saying and doing. Then, when your resistence is down, he gives you opportunity
to act on these thoughts or your imaginations. It is at this point, when we have entertained our imaginations that he moves
in, to develope strong holds in our thought life. The MIND IS THE BATTLE FIELD and that is why we need to be diligent in guarding
our thoughts.If we are not careful our garden will be overgrown in weeds and the seeds that God has planted in our hearts
will soon be choked out.
SATAN'S SEED
OF REPRESSION
REPRESSION means to retrain, squeeze, prevent natural expression, keep down and hold back.
Satan
will work to bring circumstances and people into your life that will repress you. Controling and manipulating spirits are
sent out to work thru people with insecurities who will try to repress and hold yo back from becoming all that God intended
you to be. God loves expression and His desire is for us to be happy. He tells us to be free in our worship and praise and
that His joy is our strength. Repression is a form of slavery in that it prevents natural expression of desires and emotions.
Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty, the freedom to be joyful in the Lord.
SATANS' SEED OF
SUPRESSION
SUPPRESS means to abnormally squeeze down and also to conceal as to suppress information. Often people
who have been sexually or physically abused suppress their feelings because what happened to them is so painful they do not
want to deal with it or they found themselves in such abusive situations that 'suppressing' was their means of survival. Satan
wants people to keep their feelings locked inside where they can turn on them and hold them in captivity.
Unforgiveness
is another seed of repression that causes bitterness and sickness in your life. (Proverbs 15:30; 17:22)
Bitterness
is a result of unforgiveness, a'seed' with very deep roots that effects the whole tree and produces only corrupt and poison
fruit. The seed of bitterness will damages your emotions and cause you to become full of hatred, sadness, jealousy and confusion.
SATAN'S SEED OF DEPRESSION
DEPRESSION is a seed planted to drag you down into a pit and render
you ineffective i God's kingdom. When you are depressed you are low in spirit, gloomy,dejected, and miserable. Depression
is a state of feeling hopeless or inadequate. Depression steals your joy, your strength. Depression will cause you to say
things about yourself that are not true and you may behave in ways that are not normal for you because you have allowed the
darkness of your emotions to reign over you rather than turning the situation over to God and letting Him heal you.
Some
depression is caused by disobedience and rebellion against God and if Satan has been successful in planting seeds of unforgiveness
in you, that unforgiveness is in disobedience and rebellion to God and His word.
