Who is this King of glory?
"In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19
God the Father said about God the Son: "Yet have I set my King upon My holy hill of Zion" (Psalm 2:6), that's why everywhere
in the Holy Scripture in the Old Testament, where we are meeting the word King concerning to God, God the Son is speaking:
I am the Lord, your Holy One,
the Creator of Israel, your King (Isaiah 43:15);
Thus saith the Lord
the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I
am the last; and beside Me there is no God (Isaiah 44:6).
In the year that king
Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon the throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple.
Then said I, Woe is
me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes
have seen the King, the Lord of hosts (Isaiah 6:1,5).
Who about said prophet
Isaiah? There is in the New Testament the clear answer to this question:
These things said Isaiah,
when he saw His glory, and spake of Him (John 12:41), about Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ, King, Lord of hosts.
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto
David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth (Jeremiah
23:5);
God the Father isnt
the King, because God the Father said to us, that His Son is the King.
Hear, O Israel: The
Lord our God is one Lord (Deuteronomy 6:4);
I will declare the
decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee (Psalm 2:7).
The combination of this two verses of the Holy Scripture let
us to name the Lord Jesus Christ more one Personality, who has the Gods nature. But to name the Lord Jesus Christ more one
God in the combination with Deuteromony 6:4 our God is one Lord is meaning to contradict to Gods decree, what Lord Jesus Christ
declared in Psalm 2:7.
God the Son is the
King, but the glory of God the Father and God the Son is one, because God the Father and God the Son is one God:
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians
2:11).
There is in this verse
of the Holy Scripture God the Father is speaking:
«Thus saith God the
Lord, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it;
He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein» (Isaiah 42:5).
God the Holy Spirit
is speaking:
And the Lord said unto
Moses, How long will this people provoke Me? (Numbers 14:11);
I, even I, am he that comforteth you (Isaiah 51:12).
Thats why we can boldly to speak, that God the Father and God
the Son are two separate Personalities, God by nature, but not two Gods. But Jehovahs Witnesses can not to understand it,
because they are speaking everywhere, that, if Lord Jesus Christ is God, it is meaning:
Did God say that He was His own Son, that He was well pleased in Himself, that He sent Himself?
Who did He pray to? To a part of Himself?
Who did Jesus address? Himself or a part of Himself?
Who raised Jesus from the dead? If He were
indeed dead, He wouldnt have resurrected Himself.
The result of this course of meaning is the book Revelation - Its Grand Climax At Hand, published
by the Watchtower Society in 2002. In this publication Jehovahs Witnesses said about King the next:
There is in the Revelation 9:11 John is informing to us, that
the locusts has the king angel of the abyss. only one King-angel Jesus Christ Their king is the angel of the abyss. His Jewish
name is Abaddon (Revelation 9:11). Jesus as the angel of the abyss and the ruiner inflicted indeed a deadly plague on the
Christian world (p. 143, 148).
Jehovahs Witnesses declared, that Lord God, King, Lord
of hosts is the angel of the abyss, whose name is Abaddon. And in the Bible verse, what Jehovahs Witnesses take their name,
the Lord God, God the Son, King, Lord of hosts is speaking:
Ye are My witnesses,
saith the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am he: before Me
there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is no Saviour.
I am the LORD, your
Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King (Isaiah 43:10,11,15);
And Jehovahs Witnesses
dont know about it.
More absurd situation,
what Jehowahs Witnesses are today, we can not imagine.
Rejoice greatly. O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee:
He is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass (Zechariah 9:9);
Nathanael answered
and saith unto Him, Rabby, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel (John 1:49);
And it was the preparation
of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King (John 19:14);
And set up over His
head His accusation written, this is Jesus the King of the Jews (Matthew 27:37);
Who is the blessed
and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords (1 Timothy 6:15);
These shall make war
with the Lamb, and the lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings (Revelation 17:14);
And He hath on His
vesture and on His thigh a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelations 19:16);
But the Lord is the true God, He is the living God, and an everlasting King (Jeremiah 10:10);
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come
in.
Who is this King of
glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads,
O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of
glory? The Lord of the hosts, He is the King of glory (Psalm 24:7-10).
